In the brief time in Spain where I was not dealing with medical drama I did get to feel the difference between Spain and India. First, its so much EMPTIER! On a day to day basis I really don't feel the burden of 1.1 billion people. That is until you go to another country and you realize how empty it is in comparison.
But mostly what struck me was the traffic. And the silence that goes with it. Somehow, in Spain cars manage to navigate roads without constant honking and riding up mere millimeters to each other. Somehow, vehicles and pedestrians manage to co-exists harmoniously. One way or another, cars, trucks, motorbikes, bicycles all manage to be wrangle the same roads in a sane and courteous manner.
Who knew it was possible!? Sigh.
